This is a webcam shot of my desk at SEI Data that gets updated every 5 mins or so (when I actually turn it on). The workstation is an old AMD Athlon 2200 and 1gb ram, running the latest release version of FreeBSD. And yes, all three monitors run off this single workstation under Xorg (1 Nvidia TNT2 AGP and 2 Matrox Millennium PCI cards). I currently have 18 virtual desktops configured under the Enlightenment window manager and use just about all of them.

In addition, I also have my laptop (a Dell Latitude) that dual boots Windows XP and FreeBSD. The Webcam itself runs off a Shuttle SFF box that runs Windows XP. For the most part, this is where I reside. If I am not in the picture, I am probably out climbing a tower somewhere, just refesh a couple of times and you will probably see a great shot of the back of my head :)

This is a camera shot of my full desk "area". I have a strong disliking to fluorescent lighting and prefer to work in the dark, but I have a couple of desk lamps and some monitor light to keep my eyes in check. I added this picture to try to give some perspective on the webcam shot. If you look carefully at the second shelf from the top and to the left of the black binder, you'll see my Kodak DVC325 webcam (NOTE: This camera or any other Kodak product has no *nix support whatsoever, avoid it like the plague, just my .02). I have a pretty nice bench that gives me some room to do post-mortems on dead servers, or to build new servers.
